Since 1964, AEC Vacances has been offering a different vision of holidays. As a non-profit organisation, we offer stays where friendliness, discovery and the pleasure of spending time together are at the heart of the experience.
Over the years, we have developed holiday villages in exceptional destinations and built an offer designed to suit everyone.
Our ambition is simple: to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy an authentic holiday, in places where you feel welcome, comfortable and at ease.
An adventure born in the heart of the Avaris
The story of AEC Vacances began in 1964, in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt, in Haute-Savoie.
This is where Forgeassoud, the first AEC Vacances holiday village, was created. Designed by a team of pioneers from the Pouillé agricultural college, the project came to life thanks to an innovative funding model for its time.
More than just a building, Forgeassoud marked the beginning of a human adventure driven by a strong belief: giving as many people as possible the opportunity to go on holiday and share unforgettable moments.
Since this first achievement, AEC Vacances has continued to grow while remaining true to its original spirit.
Proud of our identity as an association
AEC Vacances is a French non-profit association (loi 1901). For more than 60 years, we have championed a form of tourism where people are at the heart of every stay.
Our history is closely linked to the legacy of Don Bosco, a 19th-century Italian educator whose vision was based on trust, kindness, education and openness towards others. This philosophy inspired the founders of AEC Vacances and continues to guide the way we welcome guests, share experiences and bring our villages to life.
Being an association means choosing a form of tourism that values encounters, friendliness and togetherness. It also means remaining committed to a mission: making quality holidays accessible to as many people as possible, in a spirit of sharing and inclusion.
